Very nice experience, this place was beautiful and the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. We had no reservation, but they were very accommodation and helped us with the menu. The food was fresh and very tasty, the pasta and seafood were very well cooked. The prices were very reasonable. The house wine was not the best, but for the price you could not go wrong. Go to the ambience and food.
Arte Dei Sapori excellent hidden gem after a few unsuccessful tries in other places. At first we really wanted to taste some horse meat in another place, so we wanted to stay here because they mainly make seafood. But in the end, the most expensive meal of this trip is paid and we were still as shells at high floods. The portions are simply massive (I could hardly finish my steak) and the taste so authentic, all dishes bring us to heaven. Father is the cook and the daughter is the manager good to recommend their best dishes. We hope for the next time!
This place is a real treat. Hidden in a small alley off the busy street they serve most delicious food from the region. If the weather is good like most of the year, you can sit outside under a tree and enjoy the peaceful silence.
I walked past their courtyard with candlelit tables underneath red umbrellas, a guitarist was playing live music, serenading the guests. The aroma of the fresh seafood was so enticing, I had to stop and ask if they had an open table available. My boyfriend and I actually had reservations somewhere else for dinner, but walking past this restaurant, we could not resist. Luckily they had just one table open for us, we sat down excitedly. We started off with a small carafe of the house rose, they offered also a house red and house white. For appetizer, we had a deliciously fresh burrata with local tomatoes, probably the best burrata I’ve ever had. The entree we both ordered the sagne ‘ncannulate frutti di mare, the spiral pasta noodles with fresh seafood (in my photo). Again, best pasta dish I’ve ever had. So delicious that neither of us spoke a word to each other during the dinner. If I’m ever in Lecce again, definitely coming back!
