The Star, Malden Rushett - Leatherhead

A new find and so close to those Chessington enthusiasts, staff and seating is amazing. Great for a outdoor brunch on a sunny day. A nice little nook for your little ones

Simply brilliant pub food and fantastic beer garden. Not only were the staff exceptional but they really made us feel welcomed and appreciated and not ignored. I highly recommend this restaurant as there’s a lovely walk in the woods just across the road from the pub, Ashtead Common which was just what I needed after a wholesome meal.

Went to the Star for Christmas Day dinner, probably the best dinner I have ever had at and pub. The food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and attentive, genuinely couldn’t have made the experience better if I tried. I will be booking again for Christmas and throughout the year. Thank you everyone who worked at The Star yesterday

Pub is excellent, service was great as well. Food came quickly. We ordered the Ultimate Burger and for the most part it was very good, however it was advertised as a 10oz burger whereas in fact it was one large burger with a small one on top. That's not my issue, I have no problem with that, however the quality of the smaller burger was nowhere near the quality of the larger burger it looked and tasted like a Birdseye frozen one. The large burger was excellent though! We would certainly be back we loved the setting and the layout of the pub and there's plenty of other things I would try on the menu.

Lovely food and cocktails. Always my go to pub for good food. Thanks to Mia for making our evening enjoyable
