Au Vieux Logis - Le Tréport

This restaurant is located directly on the main strip, so quieter. Food selection is decent and prices are slightly more moderate. The owner is pleasant. The lady responsible for the service may sometimes be somewhat abrupt/curt. The food was quite acceptable, but there was some room for improvement. The Coquille St Jacques was good, but not spectacular. The shells were good, but were small and the pot contained more sauce/liquid than necessary. The place is good for families with children and is overall pleasant.

Tent for the 3 course 14,90 EUR menu. Casoulet de mer starter OK, but the few fish there were tired and gray looking. Main course (peche de marche) was terrible and had to send it back practically unleavened: dry and tired looking fillet of fish, which was tasteless and saw as if it had been frozen and cooked in the microwave, sat on a plot of tasteless cream sauce, with a rice that stodgy and creamy like pudding rice without taste, plus a boil. The waiter shredded his shoulders when I gave feedback, without offering to cook anything else. 10 EUR for a very average half bottle of muscadet. Very disappointing, though, to be fair, the mousse of Chocolat was good for offspring.

Found this restaurant by hazard, just walking around Le Treport and thought the menu was interesting and reasonably priced. Chose the set menu with Fruit de Mer for starters, they were fresh and tasty, followed by steak (faux fillet) for my other half and the skate for myself. The steak and chips with a small side salad were the best since October 2015. The skate was served with a small tasters of mushroom risotto, and a small galette with mixed vegetables including fennel and fresh vegetables> We ate everything my husband had no room for a dessert and was offered a coffee instead which he gladly accepted. My ille flottant was perfect. But even better there were local couples eating here and were warmly greeted by the owner. We liked it so much, that I hesitated before doing the review in case we cannot get a table there next time we visit. The only down side side we would have removed 2 small tables to give a little more room, food and service could not be faulted.

Beau cadre mais accueil et ambiance assez austères... Un fond de musique serait agréable. Entrées très bonnes mais j'ai été déçue par les moules marinières. Petite quantité et peu de frites (peut-être quantités réduites car c était un menu?) . Moules sans jus et sans légumes , juste quelques lamelles d'oignon! Pas de mayonnaise pour accompagner.. Dommage .. idem pour l'assiette de dorade de mon compagnon... petite quantité ..
