Le Grand Jardin - Le Thor

Just a short drive east along the D901 is a place that many of my family have come to enjoy. Not only for the food which is very good value, but also the social side, great hosts, staff and service. Bertrand goes back to Lyon tomorrow, so a good time was had by all the family (Angeline, Simmone, Rene, Bertrand and myself) during the meal and after. We all had various dishes, but mine: Salade Landaise superb selection of which I kept a 1/3 back to go with the Steak, much to the amusement of the ladies present. Steak Hache a Cheval nice and light. I asked for the egg to be lightly done.. and it was and blended so well with the medium rare steak and so gentle in the mouth excellent. Tartare de Boeuf I'm really getting to like tartare, really enjoyable. As one of these dishes (the steak) is new to me, I drank only water to get the full flavour.

Restaurant un peu dissimulé... Quelle belle surprise !!! Des plats excellents. Les menus changent très souvent. Tout est fait maison. Portions généreuses et prix raisonnables ! Le personnel est très aimable. Merci encore. Nous nous sommes vraiment régalés.

Un très bon moment. Un service très sympathique et professionnel. Des plats savoureux préparés avec des produits de qualité. Une très belle soirée.

Very good reception in this restaurant open on Monday night. traditional or exotic dishes, everything is here! accompanied by a great vintage, only happiness.
