Review for the restaurant: terrible!! The cake is dry and cold and tasteless. It’s unthinkable to eat such a bad pancake in Brittany.
This review preserves the restaurant, I did not go to the hotel. TO RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The quantities are stingy and small, and it's not very good. If you are not a customer of the restaurant, to use the toilets you need €0.50 and to warm baby food €0.20 And many other things... Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1
We went here for lunch this week and while we had heard the food was not very good in the area, we were pleasantly surprised by this lunch. It wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't the worst either. We started off with some oysters and...they were okay. I continued on with the Entrecote Bearnaise, medium and it was good. My husband had the moules and frites and those were (again) okay. The room was worked by one waiter and he was very efficient and then later had a bus boy to help clean up and that helped move things along. It was a good thing we ate a bit early as there was a long line (everywhere, infact) when we left.
We stayed in a nearby hotel but were drawn to this restaurant just up the street. Patrick, in the bar downstairs was a jovial character, beer expensive at €8.80 per 50cl ! The restaurant, up 2 sets of spiral stairs was a revelation (also accessible...from the city walls, just walk in) Lovely room with a fabulous view and also an outside terrace. we visited on both nights of our stay and were treated so well. Food quality was excellent as was the service. The 'natural ' effort put in by the 3 young ladies, Marine, Ines Emeline, was so brilliant that it sold us on coming back the second night. These are 3 young stars that I hope this establishment appreciates.
