L'auberge des 7 plats - Le Mans

We were tourist from paris to visit le mans for a day. before we left the man, we wanted to explore for a good restaurant to taste local food. we have reserved a table for 4 to eat there before we leave the city. After we came there, we were placed on a table for 4; the 4th person came later, so only 3 of us ordered first. After we had ordered the 4th person came, but did not feel like eating. one of the waitress noticed that a person did not order, she came to us and said that we should know them before that a person will not eat. she got mad at us and said if only three people were eating, she would put us on a table for three. after the conclusion we went to pay without telling us that she would charge us more because a person did not eat. If we hadn't checked our bill, we wouldn't have heard about the fee. the waitress was really unpleasant, and that's why we don't plan to come back.

We have eaten here this summer last month. we only had to share the experience with some friends from New Zealand. I cannot add much to my previous review except to say that it was still good!

A really excellent restaurant, however you will need to book to get a table. Truly excellent food and wine with great service. One of the nicest restaurants I have eaten at in France. Top marks.

If you want to get in here for lunch be outside at opening time or book ahead. We were lucky! The midday formula at €12.90 was excellent. A good glass of wine and two courses which included a welcome with excellent bread and fromage blanc...and a complimentary glass of Cremant to finish I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Excellent quality food and very good value lunch menu. 4 of us called in on the off chance of getting in and were lucky to get a table at this popular restaurant. 2 of us had steak which really well cooked and tender and the...other 2 had salads which were also excellent. Would not hesitate to go back again.
