Whisky's - Lawrenceburg

Stopped in for a midweek dinner. We were seated quickly. With multiple dining rooms, The ambiance has an aura of old house. Our service was friendly. We ordered the rib dinner and got the peanut slaw as a side. It was very good.

The ribs were delicious, and the peanut coke slaw was absolutely delightful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, complemented by great music. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place!

This is a greater Cincinnati best kept secret. We were sat in the post office booth. What a deal! Great prices, great service and wonderful food. We found this place after skiing at Perfect North Ski Resort. You won't be disappointed. The French Onion soup is to die for.

I'm not sure Whisky's needs another shout-out for their peanut slaw, but here it is! I joined a group who were there for the ribs, and they seemed to enjoy their meals, which are always good. Since it was a Friday during Lent, I decided to go for the sea bass. However, it’s clear that ribs are their specialty. My fish was burnt on one side, with charred bits of breading visible as soon as I cut into it. Unfortunately, this also made the fish tougher than expected since it was overcooked. I didn't want to create any fuss since I was part of a large group, but if it had just been the two of us, I definitely would have sent it back.

My husband and I finally made a reservation for a Saturday, which I highly recommend for weekends. We sat at the bar, and our bartender was delightful. Now, let's talk about the peanut coleslaw—oh my gosh, it's the best coleslaw I've ever had! It was worth the wait and the drive just for that. My husband ordered the Delmonico steak, and I had the butter scallops; both were cooked to perfection. I also had a side of al dente pasta with bacon. Overall, everyone should definitely give this charming restaurant in Lawrenceburg a try!
