Ladybird Diner - Lawrence

This is one of my favorite places to eat whenever I'm back home. They have the best pies, and their special deal on a bowl and a roll on select days is always a treat.

I had a wonderful experience at this charming diner. I sat at the bar and admired the retro decor. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I can't wait to come back again!

Ladybird Diner is the best in Lawrence, Kansas! The food was amazing, especially the Papas Bravas with a side of cheesy grits and the fried pickled green tomatoes. We also enjoyed the delightful cocktails, especially the **** mary. The staff was fantastic and shared similar values. The environment was lovely with a quaint patio area. We will definitely be returning to Ladybird Diner again and again!

After Paradise Café closed, the closest experience to its heyday can be tasted at The Roost (which def inherited the clientele). But, if you want to experience the heart soul of that now defunct Lawrence mainstay, check out LadybirdDiner. It's delicious, and they've got PIE.

Such a fun and funky spot! Perfect diner feel with the most eclectic decorations. We sat at the bar which is nestled on the side just past the pie case, filled with some of the most beautifully made pies! It was breakfast and busy. The food is incredible, my partner had the chicken fried steak breakfast, it came with an egg any style on top. He devoured it and I had The Dodge, two eggs any style, three strips of bacon and the most delicious handmade biscuit with gravy. It was massive and filling. I also had an iced vanilla latte that was chefs kiss. We finished off with a slice of the coconut cream pie, the filling decadent and the crust so perfectly made it melted in your mouth. We don't live right down the road but we will be visiting the town and the diner again. The town of Lawrence is one of the cutest downtown areas we've seen so far. Don't sleep on this spot or this town there is tons to do, see, and eat!
