Contribuiți la feedbackLast minute decision to eat in town. My first visit. I like it a lot and will return. Staff and owners very friendly and courteous. I ate something simple (aglio olio peperoncino homemade pasta 9Euro). Bread and breadsticks (grissini) homemade. No English? Use a dictionary. You're abroad and not in your home country. A bit too modern for antiquated Ponte Tresa but about time there was a change. I remember the place when it was a crumbling restaurant with disregard for surroundings and customers.
We saw this nice reastaurant in a hot August day, the waiter was very welcoming and polite, he accomodated us right away, the tables were tastefully set, nice decorations made with dried oranges and cinnamon, relaxing colours. The trouble began with the menu, in Italian and German only. No problem, we managed. however, the food was below average, definitely not what we expected, and seriously overpriced. Too bad, the personnel was extremely nice, even if slightly disorganised, but really friendly. The toilets weren't very clean, but that might be due to the fact that the place was very busy, really promising but not fullfilling our expectations
The miserable greeting and empty restaurant should have been a warning. The food was average bar the Sea Bass fillet, which still contained lots of bones and was inedible. Beware there is no menu in English
Very good restaurant with a very friendly and accurate service. Italian cuisine with an international flair.
I have eaten in this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed the creative dishes that Chef Milko prepares. The dishes are made with local ingredients that are in season. The menu offers a variety of traditional dishes,(lasagna, pasta seafood, risotto) as well as innovative creations. The wife Tati, gives excellent recommendations as to which wines go well with the food. A lovely casual and homey place right on the Piazza of this small town in Italy right on the border with Switzerland; just a short walk across the small bridge over the Tresa river.
