Ristorante Portovino - Laval

I went for a business lunch at this restaurant. The service needs improvement and the food was much to be desired I have gone twice to this restaurant hoping that they would improveWith their service sadly. This is the last time I will be going to this establishment

Have gone here in the past but found that location to be closed. Traveled across town to find another location for a late lunch. Food is excellent. They don't serve wine but you can bring a bottle for them to open. This is high end dining. Beautiful ambiance

Happened upon Portovino Laval next to our hotel, they offer a nice selection of homemade quality pasta dishes, del mar, plus standard fare all served promptly. We had fantastic service and really enjoyed our meals. My only complaint is the house music, more suited to a dance club with all the boom-shisk noise, then again maybe I'm starting to show my age. lol.

We went for a mid-week dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu was varied and I didn't quite expect that good a quality of food for a place where we can bring our own wine. I had the Caesar salad and a pasta dish with proscuitto and peas in a cream sauce. It was really good. I also had a bite of a chocolate-layer cake and it also was really good.

I had a pleasant meal with my colleagues at this restaurant, which was surprisingly busy for a Thursday night. It's a bring-your-own-wine establishment.
