Restaurant L'Académie - Laval

Very pleasant, a pleasant service, and the waiter explaining the different dishes well, being early the place was easy.

Having been here numerous times.The location of this resto in Centropolis Laval is great. and has great vibe and It is always busy, with great service and a bring your own wine. The starters and mains are above average. The prices are moderate and the quantity is good. Great for large groups with multi level seating options.

*** I use to go to this restaurant quite often and found it to be of good value. Normally I would give it 4 stars ... BUT we reserved for a group for a colleagues birthday. We were told on the phone that dessert would be complementary for her. They charged it anyway and refused to acknowledge their mistake. This is a breach of contract, a deceit or a lie ... NOT HONEST*. J'ai souvent mangé à ce restaurant. Normalement je lui aurais donné 4 étoiles. La nourriture est bonne et les prix raisonnables. PAR CONTRE, ils ne sont pas honnêtes. Nous avons réservé pour un groupe à l'occasion de la fête d'une collègue. Par téléphone, le restaurant nous avait dit qu'il lui offrait le dessert (à l'occasion de son anniversaire). Ils nous ont quand même chargé le-dit dessert et ont refusé de reconnaitre leur erreur. C'est un bris de contrat ou une fausse représentation ou carrément un mensonge. CE NE SONT PAS DES GENS HONNÊTES. Bye bye l'Académie.

A table was reserved for a group of 30 people from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the first floor. we had asked the first for easier access for people with difficulty taking the stairs and having a high chair for children. We were installed on the second floor. There was a server that was doing everything possible for 70 people. We had to leave for 20 hours, but the meals arrived at 19:45 or almost 3 hours waiting for very passable and very expensive meals. We don't recommend this restaurant.

Lately I was there and I was disappointed that in these restaurants we never change the menu and the servers don't even serve you the wine to upset other places so the soup is not wonderful and the mussels are ordinary
