My family and I have always loved Lebanese restaurants in Montréal because we are Lebanese and appreciate our food and traditions. For my birthday, we decided to try La Cave du Roi on a Sunday in April. If you're looking for a Lebanese meal without the loud music and dancing, this is the place for you! It's one of the few Lebanese restaurants in Montréal where you can bring your own wine. The meal follows the typical formula of cold and hot appetizers followed by a meat plate, and everything was delicious! The owners put a lot of care into preparing each dish, using fresh ingredients that are not pre-made. At $30 per person, it's cheaper than most Lebanese Mezza restaurants and you get a lot of food for the price. The restaurant is not usually crowded, but I recommend making a reservation in advance as it is not very large. The atmosphere is clean and quiet, with some Lebanese music playing in the background. Save room for the delicious desserts and traditional Lebanese coffee at the end!
It ' '' bring your own wine '' restaurant (or beer) the food is good, the service and the atmosphere quite friendly the owner always welcomes you at the door with a smile
We had a group of 30 people and the portions only served 8. It was too pricey for what we received! We will not be returning!!! They did not use olive oil in the tabbouleh or dishes that typically use it. We paid 30... per person and left feeling unsatisfied. We ended up ordering pizza when we got home!!! I do not recommend this place to anyone.
Food tasted good, but service/portions not what you would expect for the price you pay. Been here 3 time, so I can say it essentially a one time thing. You can find better in Laval/Montreal. My experience has been with a group of 20.
