My wife and I went for an evening meal on Easter Saturday 2015. My instincts told me when we walked in to find only one other couple eating in a 50 seater restaurant that maybe things would not be good, sadly I was right! We ate the easter menu at 33 euros. Starters were not too bad, a slice of foie gras between two pieces of artichokes. It was fairly tasteless, and the artichokes had been in the fridge, so too cold by farThe real problem was the main course, 7 hour cooked lamb that we were really looking forward to, but it was just a pile of totally disintegrated meat that frankly looked like something a dog had.................! We tasted it due to hunger, and it was totally ruined by being far too salty, and I mean really salty, and I like salt!!Either the chef did not taste it, or his taste buds don't exist! It came with potatoes cooked in so much fat which was also all over the plate, not nice at allDessert was mediocre so nothing redeemed thereMy advice-AVOID!!Mark Chapman
Not really outstanding in any respect. The food was OK - we had the menu du terroir but the jambon was cut too thickly so very chewy, the potato rosti under the guinea fowl was overly salty which drowned out the delicate flavour of the fowl which WAS beautifully moist and succulent. There were really no other veges apart from one small piece of overcooked carrot. The dessert, a chocolate mud cake in apricot coulis and crème anglais, was fine but not really 'gourmet' cuisine which signs on the front of building purport the restaurant to be. It was cloudy and damp so no outdoor dining, and the interior is a bit cold and lacklustre. Having just walked through the beautiful 'plus beau village' of Lutrec, this concrete and tile structure lacks ambiance. The value wasn't there either - we paid as much for our meal as we paid a week ago at a Michelin starred restaurant less than an hour away, and for less food (here there were no appetisers or amuse bouche or coffee/tea/petit fours which were included at the other restaurant and the food there was a treat!) I was disappointed with the presentation too so didn't take any photos. We personally had no complaints about the service, but one poor mme rushing around 15 tables left some other diners looking anxiously for attention on a number of occasions.
We came upon this restaurant by chance while walking from the base de loisirs to the village. It is situated on the roadside just before reaching the centre. We ate outside on the terrace, overlooking the hills, but inside is also lovely. We had a quality meal (menu of the day, at lunchtime) at a reasonable price. Very tasty food.
