L'AO - Lausanne

Interessante Lage, nicht weit von der Kathedrale entfernt. Der Kellner war freundlich und effizient. Die Gerichte sind einfach, aber gut für ein einfaches Geschäftsessen. Der Service war schnell. Die Preise sind angemessen.

Interesting location, not far from the cathedral. The waiter was friendly and efficient. The dishes are simple but good for a simple business lunch. The service was quick. The prices are reasonable.

Had a lovely 3 course meal with my wife this evening at L'AO; our first visit. The meal was very tasty off of a varied and interesting menu seems like a great deal of thought has been made to the different dishes and how they are presented. Service was efficient but also very friendly... It wasn't so busy for a Thursday evening but service was still good with staff managing to remain attentive. We had house salads to start. I had the 300g entrecôte and my wife the sole in coconut and grapefruit sauce. We split the deserts one the chocolate cake with ice cream try the caramel butter salted flavor! The other was the desert of the day fresh quince served with cream with peanut brittle on the side delicious. Highly recommended!

The cocktails are very good with a good atmosphere however the service is slow and the non-alcoholic cocktails at 15chf unlike 18- with alcohol are much too expensive. The planchettes and aperitifs to share are also very good.

This bar is well located in the city, close to the metro with a large terrace for the summer. I particularly like the large aperitif boards they offer. I find the cocktails and especially the non-alcoholic ones a bit expensive.
