For a cheap (well, this is Switzerland) eatery, this little (5 tables) ethnic Balkan café adds taste and diversity with warmth and service to the repertoire in Lausanne. To be honest I don't know much about Balkan food, however chef/owner Arsim was keen to point out the different plates that he and his wife prepare fresh for the café each day. I'm still not 100% sure I know my Qebapa's from my Quofta's or Pleskavic's, but I really enjoyed each of the different tastes that he prepared and described for my mixed plate. Any questions I had about the food or how it was prepared Arsim was happy to spend time and answer. The lunch time plate came with a crunchy fresh green salad and soft drink, all for under CHF20, which I think is good deal, especially as it is not much more than a menu at a well known fast food chain.Being an independant owner operator, the Aux Délices des Balkans is open later and longer than most larger restaurants making it also a point to remember for an after movies or late night bite.
Very friendly and welcoming cook. Excellent and fresh food
