Swamp Cafe - Launceston

Unfortunately, the restaurant is unable to serve pancakes as the chef has left. Additionally, they are unable to provide information on allergens or ingredients in dishes as the chef is also not available. Customers are left waiting for 10 minutes to see the menu when the cook is not present.

The breakfast was really good. we ordered spiced egg, cut, muffin and carrot cake. the food was excellent. the personal was really friendly and the service was excellent.

The restaurant has become much more visually appealing since the recent renovations. The young man who works there on weekends provides excellent customer service and generously serves large coffees.

I would go here again if nowhere else was open. Food was fine. Nice sunny spot in the morning. Pleasant staff. Now the down side, they overcharged me and the prices are already on the high side of expensive to be fair I was...refunded when I pointed it out). My expensive cup of tea was overfilled and tasted solely of boiling water and milk. I am not a fussy tea drinker but I like to taste the tea at least a bit. Chairs were uncomfortable, even a cushion or two would help.

This cafe could be so much more, but the lack of cleanliness of it is off-putting. The coffee is ok, but nothing special and the service, even less so. Such a pity.
