Walton's feels like you're sitting at Grandma's kitchen table. I dined here with my grandfather for his 92nd birthday. The staff was so friendly and patient. The menu offers the traditional southern cuisine at very decent prices. I ordered from the daily specials board. You can get a meat and 2 vegetables for $8.95 or a 4 vegetable plate for $7.95. You can't beat the prices here! The fried chicken breast was golden, crispy, tender, and juicy. The fried okra was crunchy just how I like it. The lima beans were seasoned to perfection. The cornbread muffin wasn't my favorite, but they offer rolls or Mexican cornbread as well. My dad and grandfather thoroughly enjoyed their fried fish, fries, slaw, and huspuppies. They also have a wide variety of homemade pies like possum, pecan, Key lime, coconut, etc. If you're looking for southern comfort food, then Walton's should be your next stop for lunch or dinner. I hear they have the best fried chicken livers, but they were out the day that I visited. I'll be back next week to try those. ;

So the large Ribeye was actually less expensive than if I'd bought it from the grocery store, and I would have had to cook it.

It's a good place to eat. Good steak and fried seafood.

Visiting family in the area. This was recommended. As we approached a customer with a take out order accosted by the wife confirmed his mouth was watering trying to hold off until he got the meals home. Highly recommended. Ordered the large Catfish filets with vinegar Slaw, potato salad and of course hush puppies. Catfish tasted fresh and was excellent. Hush Puppies also were excellent, the Vinegar slaw perhaps a little sweeter for my taste but that is just me still very good. Potato salad, well I have never had a bad potato salad so hard for me to judge. Companions had a variety of other items which they both agreed the fried okra and squash were among the best they have had.
