Even Keel Fish Shack

My friend, Kathy and I went here for drinks. We didn't eat anything, so I can't rate the food. The drinks were a generous pour. They were yummy. It is a cute little outdoor place right off the beach at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. I am still swimming in our waiter's eyes. He was gorgeous and super personable. He made our experience their top notch. He was very personable, attentive and sweet. He made our day and it is because of him that we will be back. That's him and Kathy. He made these 2 ladies customers for life!

Great beach open restaurant/bar ambience. It has several seating along the wall, the bar is partially inside and you can sit on the other side which you will then be on the outside. There is also outside seating. I ordered the raw oysters and was very happy with them. They had lots of meat and tasted very fresh. I also ordered the Rockefeller Oysters. They were really good as well. I ordered a Piña Colada, and it was ok. I had better at other places. I would definitely go back to try some other food options. But you can't go wrong with their oysters, definitely would recommend. I will definitely try their other drinks, and hopefully they will taste better. The waiter was very attentive and nice. The ambience very clean, open and nicely decorated, worth a try.

Sat at the bar-awesome espresso martini with a beautiful presentation. Enjoyed the adult grilled cheese -rich and delicious. Recommend sharing. Andrew was the perfect server-polite and professional. Small restaurant so I 'm sure there 's a wait during busy season!

My husband and I stopped at this address which I don't believe was called even keel but it said seafood on the sign so we went rhere. At the time we went August 26 2023 there was a lot of construction going on around the restayrant. So parking was nearly impossible. When we finally parked we had quite a walk 2 blocks I think. But the walk wasn't bad compared to the food and explanations of the food we were given. My wanted to order a fish platter with multiple items on it and they they suggested something and we ordered it and I ordered some shrimp and we ordered take out had a couple drinks happy hour) then went back to our resort about a mile away. When we got the food food out of the bags my lord my husband's so called platter was so pathetic I believe he got what amounted to some type of chip. A seafood dip of some type and a very small piece of some kind of fush, barely enough for an appetizer for him and I received about 7 pieces of medium size shrimp. Needless to say I went down to our resorts restaurant below us and ended up ordering him a cheeseburger and fries. All in all between this so called seafood restaurant and my resorts restaurant minus the drinks it turn out to be about 120.00 my lord. I do not recommend this seafood restaurant as they are ripoffs. But Fort Lauderdale in general was awesome as was our resort Ocean Sky Parking: It sucked

Our server, James was excellent. Friendly and helpful. The food here is great we had the mussels, biscuits, and grilled oysters to start. All were fantastic and I would definitely recommend. My daughters had the fish chips and the blackened fish sandwich. Both were excellent. My wife and I had the swordfish and the octopus. Both were absolutely amazing! We got a shrimp cocktail and a key lime pie added on for free (thank you, both were great! and repaid the staff with a round of Miller Highlife. Great place, great staff and well worth the stop!
