Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Lathrop

The staff receives 5 stars all day long, but when it comes to the food and drinks, it falls short. I have visited Thickys in Laredo, Texas, Mobile, Alabama, and now here in Stockton/Lathrop, and this is the first time I am seriously disappointed with the food quality. The sweet tea tasted like flour mixed with turf - as a frequent tea drinker, I can assure you that this is not how it should taste. The sauces were also a letdown, with the sweet sauce tasting like straight maple syrup with a watery texture. The sandwich had hard rock-like bread that was stale, and the half-pound of brisket tasted more like cleaning products. I was looking forward to eating here, but now I regret spending my money and being left with a bad taste in my mouth. Despite all this, the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. We ended up taking our food home, and I'm glad we didn't eat there because the experience would have been even worse. I don't like complaining about my food, but in this case, I felt the need to speak up.

Rudest manager. spent 90 mice and the girl was just a bit more than the half away. I kindly asked her to fill her and she did. He went over and cried to her and told her not to fill her, and she told him we asked her. he rolled his eyes. I can't imagine what he said to her after we left. what a sweat! old for the price of this simply ok eating it should be filled properly. I'm not back.

Poor service. the owner manager, whatever he sits in the back and never comes out to help, no matter how busy it is. always run out of things (usually truthahn,) which are missing and/or forgotten. small portions for the prizes they sometimes weigh and sometimes not. never consistent. I prefer to spend my money on a burger. the employees have no sympathy and no problem-solving skills, except to speak to the manager who never reacts.

If you love meat and flavor !! This is the place !! Good customer service and excellent food quality

I ordered through DoorDash and it took over an hour from the expected delivery time. On top of that, they missed half of my order. It's Mother's Day, I'm pregnant, and this completely ruined my day.
