Sawa Sushi - Las Vegas

I really dislike leaving negative reviews, especially since I've dined here before and had a decent experience. I can't quite recall what I ordered back then, as it was years ago. However, my recent visit left me extremely disappointed. I ordered oysters, which I usually love, but one of them was definitely bad. I'm afraid I might be in for a rough day tomorrow because I had to spit it out, but I can still feel the aftereffects. Additionally, I wouldn't recommend the scallops. They tasted clearly frozen rather than fresh. While I understand that scallops are often shipped this way, these had an off flavor, as if they had been thawed and then refrozen, which just wasn’t right. The use of plastic replicas of shiso leaves instead of the actual leaves should have been a red flag, too.

Sawa accommodated our large group without any reservations. Our server was prompt, attentive, well-organized, and had an exceptional memory. Despite being a small establishment, they did a fantastic job delivering a delightful dinner experience. The sushi rolls were amazing!

I absolutely love the salmon at this place. It's always incredibly fresh and delicious! While it’s not an all-you-can-eat option, the quality of what they serve is exceptional.

This spot is perfect for some good sushi, on the way back to Michigan and we stopped here. Open late, super nice service. Won't be disappointed.
