Pino's Family - Las Vegas

Very nice and clean interior. Service was really good and food was ready quick. Went with the chicken fried steak and it was really good. The white gravy was flavorful and the potatoes tasted homemade. The side salad was fresh and came with a lot. I will definitely be back.

WARNING ; soft drinks are 3.99 with no refills!!! Otherwise, I've been eating here for years and all the food is good.

Went in on Sunday after church. The food here a good but the staff can be rude and unfriendly.. they never check on you .. they look at you give you dirt looks. Either they need to get new wait staff or give them training on manners and courtesy

Was seated. three tables adter us had drinks and their order in. no one ever waited on us. the waiter and waitress passed us nine times waiting on the tables around us. after 25 minutes we left wothout being waited on

I haven't had a stuffed sopapilla since I was a kid so I decided to try it at Pinos in Las Vegas, New Mexico. It was enormous! Usually a dessert sopapilla is light and flakey. But this was stuffed with beans and cheese so it was thicker. I tried to think of a comparison but nothing came to mind so this fried dough concoction stands alone. I liked it, but I think the tiny potato cubes that I chose as an accomplishment were not the best choice. Rice, beans, or postale would have been better. Bookguy had a standard chicken fried steak that was just okay, especially since it had enough good white gravy. It came with mashed potato which he liked. He added a beef taco just to see what they were like but didn't think he'd get it again. We were told that Las Vegas, New Mexico is the original Las Vegas. This is true the New Mexico town predates the Nevada town by 70 years.
