I wasn't fully aware of the severity of the situation, and they quickly shoved paperwork in front of me to sign. It was around 2 a.m., and I had been drinking, so my judgment wasn’t the best. To make matters worse, they wouldn’t let my friend accompany me to the medical station. I contacted the Tao Group via email, as advised by the Aria, but received no response or apology from them. A month later, I visited the club and spoke with the security manager, who offered me drink tickets and a hug, claiming their legal team had looked into it, which I found to be false. I couldn’t take legal action because no law firm in Vegas would accept my case, as my toe wasn’t broken—just severely injured. I typically don’t go to clubs, but I made an exception for my birthday week, and instead of celebrating, I spent it in pain, at urgent care, and at Walgreens. I had to wear flip-flops on the strip for my birthday dinner because I couldn’t fit my injured foot into heels. The Tao Group’s lack of compassion and respect is absolutely appalling. For anyone unaware, it takes 12-18 months for a toenail to fully grow back.
Had a promoter to tell us with free admission tonight only at the door that the club on “maximum capacity” and load a $30 fee for guys. So is it max capacity or BS?? We went to Marquee. I would rather pay for a fee that I expect to be made for an dishonest fee, I don't care how much that could be. It also seems to be a reflection on Aria that the hotel cannot trust.
The venue was quite impressive. I was looking to celebrate my friend's birthday in a fun way in Vegas, and this was the only nightclub open on a Monday, which was great. However, I rated it 3 stars for a few reasons. You couldn't access the dance floor unless you were in a section, which really crowded the area around those sections. While the music was enjoyable, there wasn't much modern music being played. On the bright side, the drinks were good, and my friend and I ended up making some new friends!
My friends and I arrived at Vegas at 9 pm and were looking for clubs at 11 so we decided to go here since it was across our hotel. Warning: the club is on the bottom floor and if you're coming from the strip you have to walk what felt a mile to my feet in order to get here. There was no line but as we got closer to the door 100 people went down the steps and the line tripled. The girl with the iPad who checks to see if you're on a guest list let us go through without giving us any paper and as we got to the very front near the cashier the security told us we needed a paper from her. Uhhh I said I'm not getting out of line to get a paper from someone who is not doing their job and waiting again in this line. Another guy came and helped us and got her and she gave us the paper and after waiting for 5 min . Ok whatever let me in and the security said you can't take your coat in you'll have to coat check and pay $10 bucks per coat. Wtf? Why didn't you tell me before while waiting in line? And what if I don't like it in there? I'll be Paying 10 bucks for nothing. My friends didn't want to go anywhere else so we said screw it we will pay. And I said you guys pay and let me know how it is bc I'm not paying $10 bucks for 5 min if we decide it sucks. The security said if you don't go in now you'll have to wait in line again and pay to get in. I LOL and left waiting for my friends to respond and let me know if it was worth it. They came back and said they wanted to stay there and I said alright but we decided to get a snack before since I was starving. After 30 min we went back and thankfully we didn't have to wait in long line again. The security guy saw me and I guess he didn't want my death stare and let me in with my friends so I'll give him one star. Once inside the vibe was not bad and the music was ok so I'm giving another star for that but that's it! The crowd was ghetto, the dance floor was small and everything was wet and sticky. The tables had more room to dance than the actual dance floor and the bartenders took forever to give you a drink. If you're drunk expect to pay $14 for water. The setup looks old and needs updating. This will be my first and last time here as there are far better clubs in the area. This jewel can go get lost in my book!
My fave club was 1oak until it shutdown, now its jewel. Not many places have hiphop djs, HK and omnia sometimes does but it be in the small rooms. Most vegas clubs are house music and this gurl does not care for that. I go to a club to dance not jump up and down haha. Security here is always nice and checkin usually is not a problem. But There was this one suit guy at the table line who was super stuck up. He was acting like he was god, like calm down son, just do your job and let me in. It aint that serious. On Busy holiday nights, the line be long AF. So expect a wait to get inside. Bartenders are nice just dont ask for free water and tip well. Cran vodka is $20 typical. And a fiji is like $12 i think. I used to always reach out to Robbie for guestlist. Super nice guy not sure if he is there anymore
