Real Club Nautico De Toledo - Laredo

The personnel is very unfriendly and agressive. I strongly don't recommend to go there. There are hundreds of better places in the north of Spain. I cannot evaluate the food. Due to the agressive old man on the parking, I did not enter.

We were invited to lunch by an old college friend who had been judge in Laredo and now lives in Santander. In previous visits to Spain we visited him and his wife in Santander and eaten at the Nautico there. No comparison. The Laredo version is a couple of notches upscale in qualify of food and service. This time enjoying the view of the estuary of Santona Bay. We chose the fabes (buttery large beans from Asturias) with clams and the generous portions of turbot grilled to perfection. That washed down with a good Albarino was a perfect combination. Less satisfying was the cheese- based cuajada dessert. It is unclear whether the restaurant is open to non-members, but if it is, make the effort to visit it where on top of everything there is plenty of parking and its extensive grounds invite to remain there to watch stunning sunsets. The restaurant has the reputation of being the best in Laredo.

The fish is fresh and the meat steaks are to die for .service is excelant...dont miss this place if you are in laredo
