Torwood Garden Centre - Larbert

Nice garden centre with a good indoor and outdoor range. Popular cafe with good choices.

It may feel a touch expensive. However, the quality is good if not excellent. The choices are wide, and the staff superb.

Even though I had to wait over 10 minutes for my order to be delivered to my table, it was well worth the wait. The plate arrived nice and hot, which is a huge plus because some places serve cold food, and that's a definite no-no! The fish looked like it might be frozen, but it didn't taste that way, and it wasn’t greasy either. The breadcrumbs were smooth instead of being rough and crusty. The chips were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, and the vegetables were tender and flavorful. The two male and one female waitstaff were all very accommodating. When I requested extra sauce sachets, one of the waiters asked if the sauces were frozen, but I told her not to worry; I would just check with the manager instead since they seemed busy.

We visited the café for lunch, and the food was decent. The garden center and gift shop are definitely worth a visit!
