It was nice to taste a local specialty. Vety had generous amount of vegan cheese and smoked tofu inside of the pie. Salty, fatty and unhealthy just like it should be. Updated from previous review on 2021-06-24

No vegan option on the menu but when we asked, the staff was super friendly and explained the options to us. We ordered a couple of vetys. The vegan options included tofu and (vegan cheese plus the other toppings (salty cucumber, onion, mustard, etc . Very tasty! That is a must when they visit lappeenranta. the place is beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxed. the servier size could be a little bigger. it feels like the portion size for year is smaller and smaller.

Came here to get back the famous vety. Last time I got one, about 20 years ago. excellent vety', soft and tasty.

Best vety in town. very good karjalan pierogi. friendly people. a place where you had to be.
