Food and service are always exceptional at Mandaloun Bistro.
I have a favorite waitress there followed by Phoenicia. She takes care of us.
Enjoyed the Northern Lebanese cuisine which tasted different from other middle-eastern restaurants we have been to before. Salad was fresh and the breads were wonderful. Plenty of vegetarian options as well. One thing that we felt was a letdown was the okra used. It felt like canned okras and perhaps we will avoid okra dishes in the future there. Yes, we will still go there. The waitress was very nice and was able to explain the dishes well, especially the vegetarian ones.
While intentions were to enjoy some good food, I really didn’t have a good dining experience and wouldn’t recommend. I had: lentil soup, lamb tongues and stuffed lamb and babaganoush Babaganoush was really good Lentil soup was good after adding a lot of salt and pepper Everything else was not good at all…not seasoned, lacking flavor. I found myself trying to add flavor to it with salt and pepper and couldn’t help it taste much better. Detroit and Dearborn are known for some of the best Middle Eastern food in the country…this is not a representation of that. It was dissapointing
