Houlihan's - Lansing

I've been out here for a few months. I've been there twice. I was amazed by one of the memories of the staff who remembered exactly what I had ordered last time (in a span of 1.5 months). eating here is delicious and quite expensive. drinks are really good and happy hours giving a rim. I am vegetarian and very happy with houlihans for his eating, drinks and friendly staff!

I actually had a terrible experience in May 2018, where I did not return to this facility until February 2019. derek, our server, was very knowledgeable and very friendly. our salads and entrees were delivered in a contemporary fashion, as well as tasted wonderful. in fact, the staff we have treated in our time was very friendly. he was so nice that he treated me for a birthday dessert. derek was a dream.

Been here a couple times now and I have had a great time here. Love the lunch specials!

I used to love houlihans, and the food still isn't bad, but the past couple times I've been here the service has been lacking and finally today it was to the point where I'm writing this. I came here to meet a friend for a couple beers and decided I would have something to eat. I ordered the Kansas City strip. While i was waiting for my food i started noticing fruit flies. Not one, but probably a dozen or so. And they were relentless. I mentioned it to the bartender and she was less than interested. She said it was because of the raspberry beer. Whatever it was I feel like this is an issue that should have been taken care of before it became an issue. Not sure if I'll come back. It's too bad.

My wife an I have always loved coming here. It has been about a year since our last visit, but my God what a drastic (and negative) change! First off, where we used to wait an hour to get a table, tonight on a Friday at 6:30 the place is almost empty. Maybe 8 or 10 tables in use. I believe this is just a symptom of the larger issue; the poor management of the mall in general. I expect the whole place to be shuttered within the year. Secondly, the menu is half what it used to be. Gone are the pretzels and other great appetizers, gone are the varied options for entrees. And even the entrees that are left have changed. I ordered the 6oz filet mignon, and got this sad, sorry little piece of charred meat. Literally more plate than food, all for $25. I don't mind paying a good amount for a good meal; but this is simply pathetic. My wife and older son ordered the chicken alfredo. I did not get a picture, but the issue was the same this great big plate and a sad little dollop of noodles and sauce with three pieces of chicken on it. The final kicker, my piece of shoe leather, two orders of chicken alfredo and a sandwich off the kids menu for my little one well over $80. Just a huge disappointment from start to finish.
