Bistro de L'Anse - L'ANSE-SAINT-JEAN

Excellent food and service! We were delighted to have found this restaurant on Trip Advisor during a recent trip to the Sageunay region. It was a beautiful September evening and we enjoyed eating out where there was a beautiful lawn. We enjoyed the beer, the pizza, the asparagus tea and appreciated our friendly waitress who helped us with our French. This place is a real jewel in a beautiful environment!

Beautiful view of the terrace and the beer is good! The food is oak, but nothing special. The service was good, but the music was a bit loud as we were right next to the speakers.

Exceptional good food cheap. We especially liked the poutins that they have raised to a new level with a kind of venison stew. You also have some great craft beer. The stout beer was amazing. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times during my trips to this region and like to visit this place at least once each time. Their specialty is locally sourced products. They serve micro brewed beer which my husband loved. The fish and...chips and the deer burger are very very good. It’s also the vibe that makes this place so special. We definitely enjoyed eating on the veranda in the back. The view is spectacular. If you are in LSJ you need to try this place.

The view is wonderful from the patio BUT be sure you have reservations. It is a laid back place but I guess tours come thru the area and they book up a lot of the beautiful outdoor patio. The inside is OK but very warm...as there are no fans or AC. The service was excellent. Server was fluent in English in fact a few of the servers were which was greatly appreciated AND they have an English menu. We had the salmon tartare and a pizza. The salmon was very good the pizza was just OK. For the quality of food it was expensive. They had a nice selection of beers. Nice place guess with all the five star reviews we were expecting more.
