Slow service. Waited 40 minutes for food. Food was good. Not a lot of people when we came in for late lunch. Waitress did not tell us that food was taking along time to prepare. Manager came by & asked what the problem was. 2 out of the 3 of us ordered the lunch special. Other person ordered a burger. How long does a burger take to cook? Maybe 15 mins. Manager offered free dessert off the menu. 2 desserts for $5. The service was a bit slow. After a hot afternoon on the golf course it seemed longer but it took 15 minutes to get a cold beer. Once we got the beer it wasn't too long for the ribs to arrive, unfortunately it was then quite a wait for our bill. I must say the beer was nice and cold and the ribs were excellent and but for the service I would have rated it a 5 star.

First timers, and the food was brilliant. I would thoroughly recommend and we did try to go back a second time without a booking on Saturday - no chance, it is so popular. Service excellent and I was particularly taken by the fact our server wrote his name upside down on the paper table cover so we could read it!! Thank you Chris x. My 10oz hand carved steak was cooked to perfection and my husband's braised beef was tender with beautifully smooth mash. Local beers recommended to wash it all down were ice cold and very tasty. I opted for a half portion of mud pie - huge! Whatever was a full size portion?? My husband opted for the cookie skillet - yummy sauce.

I had never been to a Montana's before this visit, and it was suggested by a friend. Sure why not.We had a short wait before being seated, and the restaurant was fairly busy. The wait staff are all dressed as cowboy/cowgirls, and our arrived quickly after we sat. We received our menus and they left for a short time before returning for our drink order. Food and drink was ordered at the same time. Two of us had beers and the other two coke and water. The coke and water arrived shortly after, however both beers took a very long time to arrive. Excessively long in fact, moments before the food did. I did not partake in the food, but it did look excellent. Both members of our party who ordered food had not one complaint. The server did return several times to ensure the food was good, and asked if we wanted additional drinks.My G/F did have her beer in the larger "boot." Which is once again, a bit gimmicky. On top of that there were a couple birthday dinners happening, which means out comes the hat with antlers, and the large triangle on which they banged and sang for each. It wasn't bothersome, and just added to the atmosphere of the restaurant. All in all, other than the drink wait, it was a good meal and a reasonable price. The gimmicks add to the atmosphere and you will either love it or hate it.

We arrived close to 7pm and still had to wait at least 30 mins. When finally seated our wait staff was fairly quick to come at take our drink orders. When we ordered there was one appy order and two meat orders. Not being a meat eater I order the Chicken Parm. it took quite a while before our meals came. 3 meals came but not the appy. We thought that wasn't acceptable, it finally came. My Chicken Parm came with fettuccine in Madeira Sauce. First it tasted more like tomato soup and didn't even look like Madeira sauce also it was tepid. The chicken was hot when the wait person came to check I explained the problem. They offered to put it in the microwave. When a manager came she said she would bring a cup of hot sauce. That worked. Now I have to say the others enjoyed their meals but they never explained why the appy took so long to be served. I know you're saying why go to a meat restaurant and order chicken well it one of the others birthday and wanted to go there. The wait people were friendly and tried to right things.
