We stayed here at the Hotel Matheisen to stay overnight and then ate here on the second and third evenings. : For to our very pleasant surprise there were excellent cuisine with predominantly regional and fresh ingredients. First evening: appetizers: home-accommodated wild ham, field salad with cherry tomatoes with quince gels very good fish soup with padded shrimp. Main foods: homemade beef roulade with sauce, potatoes and cream wesing very good, especially the hosting of natural beef medallions with pepper sauce, fries and salad very good (German Angus Rind . Second evening: appetizers: duck breast stripes on salad very good fish soup with panned shrimp. Main dish: half duck with crispy skin, tasty bumps, semmelknödel and apple red cabbage excellent. We drank a good Italian red wine. We were very friendly and enjoyed the evenings. A clear recommendation, we are happy to come back!
Regional cuisine from Gänse-Cappuccino, Wild or Cordon Bleu to the Wirsingparfait. The way from the city to the high north is worth it all. By the way, too. Older tribal clientele from nearby will be as lovingly hosted as trainers. With Cologne hatch, that's good.
