Good choice of food on the gluten free menu, their salt pepper chips and burgers are the best around. The staff are very knowledgeable of the GF menu and have taken extra care to make sure it is safe for me to eat.

My partner and I went for a Sunday lunch at a lovely pub with live music. The Sunday roast was delicious, with my partner enjoying the chicken and myself choosing the beef. Unfortunately, the beef was overcooked and not to my liking. It seemed as though it had been left under the heat lamp for too long. The pictures on Facebook that drew us in were mostly accurate, aside from the disappointing beef. I regret not speaking up and sending it back, but being English, I decided to just eat it. The cutlery could use some sharpening as it was a bit dull. Despite the mishap with the beef, I would consider going back to the restaurant but opt for a different dish next time. If I'm craving a beef dinner, I'll visit the restaurant next door instead.

I highly recommend this restaurant - the staff is incredibly friendly and the food is excellent. They went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty. Diane is the best bartender I've ever come across, even surpassing my nanna Pat. Elisha Nixon

During an unexpected stop in Lancaster due to a railway disruption caused by a storm, I discovered this restaurant through Booking.com. I was warmly greeted and shown to my room, which was well-appointed with a comfortable bed, a decent bathroom, and a powerful, hot shower. I was impressed by the ample supply of tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits. The public bar downstairs was popular, offering a great pint of Dizzy Blonde. The menu was extensive and the food was delicious. It was a good sign to see non-residents dining there as well. After a restful night's sleep, I enjoyed a lovely breakfast with a variety of options cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
