Punchbowl Inn - Lancaster

I don't even know where to begin, it's almost comical. Before I start, I want to warn everyone that if you try to address any issues with the owners through messages or social media, they will become defensive, make up false accusations, and try to avoid taking responsibility for their terrible service. I recommend checking out their social media and reviews before booking to see for yourself. Our experience on Friday, 4th August was a disaster. We were supposed to stay in a pre-pitched tent we bought on Groupon, but when we called ahead to let them know our arrival time, we were told that our tent was wet and there was no place for us to stay. Despite calling multiple times and being ignored, we decided to turn back home, wasting time, money, and disappointing our children. Other family members had booked accommodations as well, but they were also met with difficulty and poor communication. After reaching out on social media, we discovered that others had similar experiences and even heard rumors of fraud investigations and license revocations for the owners. We were accused of discrimination, bullying, and lying, but I have documented the facts on their social media for others to see. Despite a half-hearted apology from the owner, the false accusations are still there. In the end, it's best to avoid this place and save yourself the trouble.

Absolutely terrible experience. The breakfast included in a Wowcher deal was disappointing, to say the least. We weren't even offered a hot drink with our meal. The food was greasy, burnt, and completely inedible. To top it off, it was delivered to us in the rain without any cover, making the experience even worse. This restaurant is nothing like what is advertised. It felt like we had been deceived. The place was very dirty, with some people appearing to live on the premises, which was quite unsettling. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs, as the health and safety standards are very poor.

The worst dining experience of my life. Hairs in food, foul tasting, dirty oil and the room stank of dog and was filthy….. also the crockery and cutlery was greasy and looked unwashed.

Perfect and cheap campsite, lovely owners, good food, clean toilets, easy access to nearby amenities, electric, water on site, definitely coming back again for me and family definitely 5
