Texas Cattle Co

I wasn't feeling great all day. I had just completed some electrical work and silicone caulking at one of our houses. It was only 104 today, so it wasn't the heat (I've worked in 110+ temps). I decided to stop by Texas Cattle Co. I've been going to their restaurants since the early 1990's (in Camarillo). We've been going to the one here in Lancaster since 2008, so I know what to expect. Things are a little different from pre pandemic. I've been here post pandemic and I know that you no longer order at your table you order at the front desk, pay for your food and they seat you. I prefer the old way, but something must've happened to change the way they do things. I ordered tri tip and baby back ribs, baked potato and beans. The host sat me at a nice table. I went to use the restroom and when I came back, there was a bowl of popcorn at my table just like the old days! I ate some popcorn, drank my soda and soon my food arrived! To me, the tri tip was dry and overcooked. The ribs didn't hit the spot either. The baked potato was so so and the beans weren't too good either. I'm not sure if it was me or the food, but normally I eat everything, but today I took some food home. Here's the bright spot. The service was excellent. It's usually very good and the staff is friendly, but today was great! I needed it today and they delivered. There were at least five people making sure my drink was full and that I was enjoying my meal. At some restaurants, it feels like they're trying too hard, but not here. It felt like they genuinely cared and that's something very special in this day and age! Service is top notch. Always very good, but today exceptional! The food, I'm not sure if it was me. And with excellent service like this, I'm happy to go back. I'm in Lancaster next weekend, so I'll make sure I stop by. Highly recommended! I'll write an update next week!

This place needs to be a chain. Best double burger with chili in a while.

Had the NY steak. Big and juices. Potato was delicious and so were the beans. Austin burger was amazing. Ribs were tender and the sauce was good.overall the experience was awsome. Nice service and nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back.
