Cabalar Meat Co - Lancaster

Cabalar has an amazing menu with new specials every week. They work with local farms and providers to bring customers quality food: fries cooked in beef tallow; pigs and cows butchered in house; milkshakes made with Fox Meadows ice cream; and beer from Mad Chef Brewery. We usually spend around $15-$20 per meal, and it is 100% worth it. Not only are you supporting a local business, but the owners genuinely seem to care for their staff and patrons. I've eaten some of the best meals of my life here (notable meals include their dry-aged cheese steak special, BBQ bacon burger, their Big Mac pizza collaboration with Pizza Tent, and the pulled pork mac and cheese). They also are open on Sundays when a lot of other Lancaster businesses are closed. I check their Instagram weekly because they constantly have new, unique specials and cool collaborations in the works. They also make me smile because THE CAPTIONS ARE WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS LIKE THEY JUST CAN'T CONTAIN THEIR EXCITEMENT OVER THIS SHEER DELICIOUSNESS. I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT SO MUCH!!!!! Kid-friendliness: They have really good burgers and grilled cheeses for kids, and what kid could turn down a milkshake? They also have coloring sheets for the kids who dine in, and they have outdoor tables which are nice for if your kids are a little rambunctious. It can be a bit crowded inside at peak times to dine-in with kids, but you can always call ahead to ask about how busy it is. Take out is always an option as well for the nights when you really don't want to cook but want tasty food.

Disappointed to find out Cabalar uses inflammatory oils in all of their fryers. They combine Tallow with the seed oil; doesn't rectify the bad oil.

Super busy and a little crowded. But you'd expect that with the quality of the food. Great burger and fries, unfortunately it wasn't what I ordered and I didn't notice until I took a bite. Still tasty, but wasn't about to wait another 45 mins. Wife's burger was perfect and the pickle chips are to die for. Definitely coming back. Will be more diligent to check for order accuracy when my name is called. Service: Dine in

Great Food! Great staff. Super clean. All staff very friendly and it was nice to see the cashier person smiling the whole time. It just show that he loves to work at Cabalar. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
