Vigilius Stube Ida - LANA

Due to heavy rain, we opted to sit inside and found a newish but traditional stube setting that was cosy and comfortable. Service was a bit slow at first and lacked the typical welcome we usually enjoy in such walking restaurants. The menu was a bit limited compared to others so we opted for soup. It was hot and very enjoyable. No time for dessert as we wanted to catch the cablecar down.

We called in for lunch after a pleasant morning walking on the Vigiljoch. As the weather was good we sat outside and the views are spectacular. They had menus in English which was a plus and there was a good choice of food. We shared the daily special, Cannelonne mit Kalbsfleisch und Pilzen (Veal Cannelloni with mushrooms) which was delicious, followed by strawberry gateau which just melted in the mouth. Would have given five stars but the service was slow, the staff were not very friendly and the prices were quite high for the location.
