Restaurant Novo - Lamego

Para almoçar e jantar. Recomendo.

Traditional portuguese restaurant with delicious home made food and excellent service. All rest usually close at 3pm and reopen at 7pm so at 4pm we couldnt find anything to eat other than pastry, but when i called Restaurante Novo to ask if their kitchen was open he said: “its not, but we can open if necessary!”. So nice of them! We were nicely greeted and had a great meal!

Restaurante tradicional português com deliciosa comida caseira e excelente serviço. Todos os restantes normalmente fecham às 15h e reabrem às 19h, por isso às 16h não encontramos nada para comer além de pastelaria, mas quando liguei para o Restaurante Novo para perguntar se a cozinha estava aberta ele disse: “não, mas podemos abrir se for preciso! ”. Que legal da parte deles! Fomos bem recebidos e tivemos uma excelente refeição!

We found this place at our first night in lamego. we had dinner there 4 nights and were satisfied with every meal. it is a family restaurant and is visited by tourist and local. the prices are good (effective to the premium.) we have often divided a main dish because the portions were large enough.
