The Vauxhall Griffin - Lambeth

After hearing so much praise about this place, my expectations were quite high. However, I found it to be just okay and didn't quite live up to the hype. The one highlight was the nice selection of wines they offer.

The restaurant is a nice place with friendly staff, but unfortunately, the sausages had a strange taste to them. Despite this, we still enjoyed the rest of our breakfast. When we informed the waiter about the issue, he mentioned that the chef said the sausages were in date. We were hoping for a more apologetic response or a small gesture of goodwill, but it seemed like the restaurant didn't value our feedback. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and we may not return in the future.

Great atmosphere, service, bar snacks and ale. Good sports coverage on multi-screens. Highly recommended

Located off the main roads just a short walk from Vauxhall mainline and tube stations so easy access to/from the centre of London. 'Proper London pub ' but with a sports bar theme, fabulous burgers and on trend boutique style accommodation above. Our room was clean and well maintained with a large shower room and the beautiful window box full of seasonal flowers was so pretty! Good choice of breakfasts next morning in the pub catering for both small and not so small appetites. Super kind and friendly service from all the staff we met during our stay, Would happily stay again.

I booked the griffin as was in a middle with my visa as being so close to the us embassy. Mark the manager went above and beyond to be kind and courteous and accommodating to me. The room I stayed in was immaculate and plenty of towels (big ones) with a smart tv. Every person I met during my stay was fantastic and the food was superb at a great price! I would recommend this establishment 100% for travellers staying here Thank you so much mark and team for making my awful situation that much better
