Cevicheria El Barranquino - Lamas

It is the best restaurant in Tarapoto!!! Every day see fresh food and delicious dressing!!! We try food in other few local restaurants, but not one of them can be compared with El Barranquilla. Only a problem that no one speaks English and they don't have an English menu.

I come to work for Tarapoto and my local colleague brought us here for lunch. It's my new favorite place. The El Barranquino offers a range of classic and innovative dishes with seafood. I've been here three times. Today I had the...Tacu Tacu al Barranquino and was very satisfied. It was an aji amarillo based ceviche above a grilled fish fillet, above Tacu Tacu (rice and bean mix). It was great!!! Deeply complex aromas. The tempo and texture difference btwn the ceviche over the piping hot grilled fish was perfect and interesting. Nicely seasoned. Chicha morada was also delicious. Just a tad sweet my Fav. Many restaurants in Peru offer overly sweet Chicha. Not here. Very cheap, which is beautiful. Decor is simple, no ruffles. It's about food.

Un buen restaurante si eliges la opción de pescados y mariscos. Ambiente cómodo y familiar para almorzar, también tienes por las noches la opción de comer muy buenos anticuchos y pollo a la parrilla, algo alejado del centro de la ciudad.

En Tarapoto se come muy muy bien. Regresando de un día de trabajo de campo me proponen almorzar en este restaurante. Realmente excelente, de los mejores de la ciudad. Esta lejos del centro y fuera del circuito turistico, pero vale absolutamente la pena. El arroz con mariscos espectacular, el pulpo al olivo notable y los wantanes rellenos de langostinos deliciosos.
