The Gorilla - Lakewood

I recently visited Gorilla for the first time and the highlight for me was getting a photo with my fiance in front of the Gorilla. She really enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and especially liked the coleslaw, doubling up on it. My kielbasa sausage was spicy but lacked flavor. Would we consider returning? Possibly.

The service was excellent. I ordered the Banana Split and the staff was very accommodating, with a positive attitude.

Went for lunch. The smoke chicken sandwiches was delicious. The sauce was fantastic. The sides were smaller but tasted great. For the price it was well worth it. Can’t wait to go back and try a waffle.

My wife and I shared the brisket sandwich and it was delicious.

What is up with this place? Has anyone ever gone to a custard shop, and found an incredible bbq joint there? Yes. Their frozen stuff is much better than the local spots. But, I have found a favorite lunch place here. The smoked meats are incredible. If you like ribs, pulled pork or any other favorite...they have combo platters to help you find your fave. Be sure to order the baked beans topped with pork cracklin'. ..Well worth the price of admission.
