Tea House - Lakewood

I didn't take any pictures because I was too hungry to remember! We always come here for the garlic chicken wings, and we never just get one order. On Sunday, we ended up ordering a total of six because our family loves them so much—and honestly, they didn't last long at all! We also tried the combo fried rice, but it wasn’t quite the same this time. It might have been because they felt rushed with our large order, but I'm not sure. Still, I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in town; they have other delicious dishes as well!

I ordered chicken wings and chicken fried rice, and I was very pleased. The prices are great, the service is quick, and the food exceeded my expectations. I've visited this place several times over the years, but this was my first experience ordering food. They have a variety of restaurants and a wide selection of dishes!

1. It’s cash only, so be prepared. There’s an ATM around the corner in the hallway if you forget. 2. The restaurant is located inside the food court, which we didn’t realize at first. We wandered through the entire shopping center multiple times before we finally found it. Just when I was about to give up and grab some tacos and a torta, we discovered the entrance. Although there was a bit of a line, it moved quickly. They give you a keychain with a number while you wait, and we only waited about 12 minutes. While we were waiting, we saw someone bring out a large bowl of their seafood noodle soup, which looked and smelled incredible. We’re definitely going to order that on our next visit. Now, about the food: the garlic fried chicken was hot and crispy, with a nice garlic flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The house fried rice had chicken, beef, and shrimp, seasoned well but with a texture reminiscent of gravy, which was a bit different from what we’re used to. And now for the pepper steak—the dish we came for. It was fantastic! The beef didn’t have that unusual taste that you often find in beef and broccoli dishes elsewhere. The onions and peppers were perfectly cooked, soft while still retaining a satisfying crunch. The gravy was delicious too. I would return just for the wings and pepper steak, but I’m also really interested in trying that seafood noodle soup next time. Be sure to check this place out; they have some unique offerings in the shopping center as well!

The food has always been great, but the only downside is that they're closed on Sundays. I've been coming here for 9 years, and the prices are incredibly reasonable compared to other places.

I visited this restaurant based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. The cash-only policy was a hassle, especially since the ATM on-site charged $2.95. However, the food deserves a solid five stars. The only downside is the location, location, location...
