Lake City Pub - Lakewood

I can hardly believe we were at a pub! The food was absolutely exquisite. We tried the meatloaf, and the flavors were incredibly complex and delightful. The last time I ate out, I spent $100, but who would expect such gourmet offerings in a pub? I couldn't believe my taste buds! If there were a rating for 6 stars, I would give it without hesitation. We also didn’t take your mother’s nachos home, but wow—they were fantastic!

I seldom give five stars, but I have no complaints this time. My friends and I had lunch at Lake City Pub today, and we ordered a Cuban sandwich, shepherd's pie, and some fries. Everyone agreed that the food was outstanding. It was definitely a cut above other places. I would recommend it and would gladly return.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. They wouldn't allow my registered service dogs inside, which is unacceptable. The staff even threatened me and my dogs. I strongly advise staying away from this establishment. The owner's comments about the situation are just nonsense. This is a small-town bar with a rating of 4 stars—how is that even possible?

I tried this place because the reviews were good. Please read the reviews - perhaps we just ordered things that were not good. I ordered the pigs and had 1 tablespoons of pork. I mentioned something to the owner showed her the pig, and she insisted that the pig was embedded in the cheese. Then she told me that she saw how they did the nachos, which was creepy because she was the only person who was at the bar. I guess the reviews are for the bar, I would go somewhere else for food, save your money.

The atmosphere is cute and a real step up from the days back when it was Lake City Tavern. My food was ok. Presentation was great but too much of a bourgeois variation making it unrecognizable from an original Cobb. My sister did not like her food and when she brought this to the attention of the owner(? it suddenly became a very uncomfortable experience. The owner was defensive, which upset my sister. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. With how pricey the food was, the right thing to do as an owner would be to make it right. She made it really Wrong! If my mom wasn't disabled, I would have thrown a few $20's on the able and made a run for it. Needless to say, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be returning.
