La Chele Salvadorean Pupuseria

This restaurant serves incredibly delicious food. Everything is very tasty, and the chicken tamales are truly a delight. Overall, the dishes are outstanding. However, the prices are a bit on the higher side, and the service could use some improvement, as it is provided by a somewhat gruff gentleman who isn't very sociable or friendly. Despite this, the experience of dining here is a complete joy.

My husband and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, so today I finally ordered some food because I was excited about the horchata. Since it was a delivery order, I couldn't speak to the restaurant directly. However, I can confidently say that this is some of the best food I've had all year. I was so impressed that I paused halfway through my meal just to write this review! Everything was incredibly flavorful. We kept it simple and tried a few pupusas, tamales, curtido (which was delicious!), and the horchata. Normally, I don’t get too excited about side dishes, but their black beans are the best I’ve ever had. I can only imagine how fantastic the rest of the menu must be, and we will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

The prices here are quite high for decent food. The pupusas were very flat and cost $4.25 each. The carne guisada was a generous portion, but it was $17.95. Currently, the online menu does not match the prices at the restaurant. Additionally, the tortillas we were served were store-bought instead of the handmade ones that were advertised.

Friendly staff and delicious food. I had many of their dishes, but I'm going back to their Papusas! Great little lunch place for you or your office team.

La Chele is my go to spot when it comes to Hispanic food. They give extremely generous portions and after years of coming here I?ve never been discontent with their service or food quality. This is one of the only places around that gives a generous portion of meat in their burritos. The refried black beans are the best that I?ve ever had. I?d love to keep this place a secret, but it needs recognition for their amazing service and food. BTW if you?ve never had a papusa you?re missing out.
