Dutch Bros Coffee - Lakewood

I?ve been coming to this location since before the pandemic. Before it was poppin. Never really had an issue and i still don?t but i think for future reference, if a person orders a hot drink and the line is long, put a stopper sticker on it. Because once i get to the window, they THEN ask me if i want a stopper on it....by the time that happened i might as well have ordered an iced coffee. I ordered a hot drink. i wanted it to be...HOT. Common sense you know?

I had to give this a try because of all the talk about how awesome DB is. Extremely long lines. I ordered a skinny vanilla latte. Get to window and they say they don?t have any milk that isn?t expired?? Seriously ???? So I order something else and have to wait a long time to get it. Everyone behind me is waiting even longer. The lady hands me the drink without a sleeve and it is so hot it is hard to hold it. The drink was just ok. Nothing special. Don?t know what all the rave is about but I will stick to Starbucks.

I enjoy experimenting with new drinks, and I appreciate that the staff is honest about which combinations might not taste good, saving me from wasting my money. I also love the new stickers they keep coming out with. The medium size is essentially the same as a large at Starbucks, but tastes so much better. My favorite drink is the Strawberry Birthday Cake, made half frost and half freeze. I also like to switch the strawberry flavor for chocolate.

My favorite coffee shop has THE BEST staff! Seeing Alex, Jay, and/or Lars always brightens my day. They, along with many others, work so hard to prepare delicious drinks, all while bringing a generous dose of kindness and humor! I absolutely love this place! It's located on Colfax near Casa Bonita.
