Dae Bak Korean - Lakewood

Holy moly was this place delicious! we stopped by chance and what a hidden gem. absolutely recommend this mom pop restaurant! on Saturday at 16:30 a.m. and was not busy at all. we sat right away. developed on pork bone kartoffel suppe with rice and the bulgogi bibimbab with fixations. everything was perfect! the best Korean food I had hands down. I especially enjoyed the hot sauce/paste as it was a perfect mix of sweet, spicy and savory. as mentioned, this is a mom pop restaurant with limited staff never more than just a server are so ready to wait for her to eat. however, don't let that stop you from trying this place. it is worth it

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday at 5:30pm and found it empty. My dining companions and I were unsure why it seemed so deserted and even considered leaving at one point. We ordered some dishes to accompany our soju, expecting them to be well-suited for drinking after a round of golf. The seafood pancake, haemul pa jun, was quite filling and we demolished it quickly with four people. I would recommend it as a starter for those who enjoy drinking. The spicy swallows dish was a bit overwhelming in sauce, but the jang jjigae had a good flavor. The aged kimchi with mackerel looked appealing on the menu but didn't have the strong, fermented taste I was hoping for. This restaurant would be a good option for a quick lunch, but it lacked the depth and complexity of truly great Korean cuisine.

The food at this restaurant is amazing and reasonably priced. The establishment is well-kept and the owner is welcoming. I make sure to visit every month for their delicious hot pot and spicy pork.

Korean eating brings our teenagers from the house. kalbi was delicious and the fish-crush soup we had. will be back.

Look elsewhere if you just want meh' but all-u-can-eat meat. But definitely check this place out if you're in the hunt for some quality Korean food. Service was great and prices reasonable. I'll be coming back for for sure.
