Sloopy's Sports Cafe - Lakeside

This lakeside pizzeria is fantastic. The atmosphere is very laid-back. We really enjoy the thin crust and the toppings selection is excellent. The amount of toppings on the pizza was just right. As with many restaurants, there may be a wait, but it's easy to be patient by the water.

The pizza was decent, but a bit on the pricey side. However, it was the only restaurant open in Lakeside. The customer service was lacking, as the staff seemed disinterested and gave off the impression that they would rather be doing something else. It's possible it was just a bad night for them, but it's also possible that this is their usual demeanor.

We ordered a 16-inch deluxe pizza, which was one of the best pizzas I've had in a while. The crust and toppings were excellent. I would have given it a five-star rating, but the total cost including drinks and tax came to $28.

When they go to half an empty restaurant, they do not expect a 90-minute waiting period. So, if there is a 90-minute waiting for pizza, they let the people know before the time they paid and sit for 10 minutes. there were 3 or 4 people who led the front end. maybe some more pizzas in the back to slip.

We ordered calzones which were delicious but took a long time to cook. We asked several times for napkins, ended up getting our own. Noticed a few health issues. Young girl doing trash stopped to serve ice cream to a customer and didn't wash her hands first. The gentleman at the restaurant put his finger up his nose and continued working the registry. Yuck
