Contribuiți la feedbackI had been eager to try their reuben, so I called yesterday to place an order, but unfortunately, they were out of rye bread. No worries—I opted for the cheesesteak sandwich, and that turned out to be an excellent choice. The bread was soft and warm, without the burnt or overly crunchy texture I've encountered at other places. I ordered it as they typically prepare it, and it was absolutely delicious! That made it 2 out of 2 so far. Today, I called back to check if they had rye bread again, as I really wanted to try the reuben, my all-time favorite sandwich. I let the gentleman on the phone know that I didn't want thousand island dressing on mine; I prefer it with yellow mustard, as I used to order from a little deli in Chicago that made it that way. To my surprise, he said he enjoys his reubens the same way—something I've never heard in over 25 years! I picked up the sandwich, and it was one of the closest reuben sandwiches I've had to that special one from my childhood up north. So far, this café is 3 for 3! I can see myself returning frequently to this place. The only downside might be its small size. You could call it one of those hidden gems that serve fantastic food. I appreciate that it's veteran-owned, and from my experiences, the staff works together like a family. While it may not be the ideal spot to invite a group of 20 for breakfast or lunch, for larger parties, just grab takeout. If you're looking for a quick bite alone or with one companion, this is definitely the place for breakfast or lunch! Thank you to the Edgewood Café staff for providing such a wonderful dining option just five minutes from my workplace!
Even though it was only 9 AM, I found myself craving a pastrami sandwich, and I was not disappointed! The Edge really delivered with an incredible sandwich. I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and now I'm officially a fan. The prices are quite reasonable for such fresh, homemade food. They really paid attention to detail, even swapping out the rye bread for Texas toast in my DoorDash order. The biscuits and gravy tasted like they were made from scratch as well. This is a fantastic little local café, and I look forward to coming back soon to support this locally-owned gem!
I visited this quaint cafe today with my grandchildren, and I haven't dined out since early February. It was our first time here, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, the cleanliness was evident; it smelled fresh and looked tidy. You can even see the kitchen area from the counter, and it was impeccably clean. The food was fantastic— I had a grilled cheese sandwich, my granddaughter enjoyed a chef salad, and my grandson opted for a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. Everything was superb!
The pricing is definitely reasonable, and the food is fantastic! I enjoyed the French toast and a croissant sandwich with a delicious meat omelet—so tasty! The staff was friendly, and I appreciated the spacious outdoor seating. Thank you! They’re open until 2 PM for breakfast and lunch.
This café was quite different from what I expected after seeing it a few times while driving by, and that's a good thing. It's definitely a no-frills kind of place, but the food was surprisingly delicious. You order at the counter and then take a seat, and they'll bring your food to you, which puts it somewhere between fast food and dining in. I really enjoyed the iced coffee I had; it was simple yet satisfying. For my meal, I chose the steak and cheese omelet, and I loved it. The steak, combined with the peppers and onions, had just the right amount of saltiness and savory flavor—everything blended perfectly. My dad tried the special, which included chicken tenders, gravy, eggs, hash browns, and a variety of other items, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, I was genuinely surprised by how good the food was here, and I'd definitely come back. It's a refreshing alternative to your typical sit-down breakfast or brunch spots.
