I got the chicken teriyaki with veggies and my wife got the steak with rice. A bit pricey but now we know. The teriyaki sauce on the table was good, we kept adding it to our protein hoping it would add flavor which it did. The hostess talked a million miles an hour, we had no idea what she was saying. Not wheelchair accessible. It 's more of a take out rather than dine in, I couldn 't see trying to get a stroller in the tight door and maneuver around corners to a table. We did the madness experience...wasn 't so maddening. This goes on my one and done list..not for any bad reason, just wasn 't exciting.
I ordered a large and a regular sized spicy chicken bowls since it’s advertised as a fan favorite on the menu. We waited 25-30 minutes for our food because there was only one person up front and two people in the kitchen on Saturday night during dinner time. By the time we got our food, we were starving and I took one bite of my bowl and it immediately reminded me of the PF Chang’s frozen meals you can by at the grocery store. You know when you re-heat a meal and the sauce that was on it before gets all dried up on the meat? That’s what it was. Our food was most likely sitting in the kitchen for awhile because there was a long line up front, so the guy taking orders was unable to serve the food, and the kitchen window was backed up. The phone was also ringing constantly, so he had to answer that as well. It’s not the cashier’s fault for that. This is on poor management for not staffing their restaurant sufficiently on a weekend, during peak hours, and especially since there was an event downtown. Even if we had not waited as long as we did for our meal, I’m not certain if the food would have still been worth it since there is not much flavor or spice to the chicken, and the sauce is not applied to the rest of the bowl, really solidifying the PF Chang’s frozen food vibes.
This was our second time here. First time was for Tasty Tuesday night. We sat and waited for 25 minutes to find out the cashier never gave our food tickets to the cook. Needless to say, we did not eat. Tonight we decided to try them again. We showed up and ordered. Place seems pricey to me for the amount of food you get. The young lady at the register wasn’t exactly inviting and friendly but we managed to order. My parents split a large order together. The food was delayed because the cashier gave their meal to another table. They had to wait for it to be cooked again. When she brought the meal out, it was still wrong. She had to take it back again. She then tried to tell us what we ordered and was a little bit snippy. We spoke to the manager and told her. We don’t want anything for free but the service has been terrible the only two times we’ve been here. It is all young kids working here and customer service skills are lacking. The manager was nice.
Very disappointed with the food. Chicken was overcooked and looked like it had been warmed up. Also tastless. Helpful service and liked the decor but the food was boring. We do not live in Lake Mirror, there for the car show but would not eat here again.
Awesome food. Surprisingly, a lot of seating for as small as the facility is. Come early, fills up quick for lunch. Highly recommended!
