The Pickled Pig - LAKE PLACID

Do not go through the menu that is published on opentable. it is outdated and 90% of the choices on this menu are not offered. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. I think $50 for two hamburger and French rider with two soda is ridiculous

Quite average. when I checked in them, they told me they didn't have my OpenTable booking and they didn't give the points independent of it. Eat ok portions large, better options in lake placid .

Eating was okay, nothing great. very too expensive for what they have. no ambiente. service was good because there were very few customers. mixed drink was fair. have not been going back

On a rainy day it passed and its a/c was over. bartender was friendly enough to turn it off. very few people in the restaurant. Not sure why our food came out of the kitchen for so long. Eating tasted great and our server was prompt.

The Pickled Pig was recommended to me by a colleague who frequents Lake Placid as a place with 'great burgers '. Perhaps because we were a large party of 7 and came between lunch and dinner (at 3 p.m. although it was on a Friday in early August they were understaffed? The service was slow and not very attentive, they were out of a number of items on the menu, and our food was mediocre and arrived almost cold. The beer was good though and the setting was casual fun with indoor/outdoor options and a firepit. There are other places in Lake Placid that are much better. I wont ' go back.
