Russo's Submarine Sandwich Shop

It’s been awhile since ordering from Russo’s as money is tight. We decided to treat ourselves and were so disappointed to receive sandwich with ham, BOLOGNA?, lettuce, tomato and cheese etc. Not salami but bologna which kills my stomach! I’ve never been so dissatisfied!

The subs are excellent, as they always have been, but the location on Military Trail is in terrible condition. Just look up at the acoustical ceiling tiles in the dining room; they’ve never been replaced and are damaged by water and mold. The wallpaper is peeling, revealing more signs of mold, and the wood trim around the windows hasn't been painted in years. It's evident that ever since he purchased this building many years ago, no improvements have been made. The whole place is in desperate need of a paint job, and it's frustrating to see those acoustical ceiling tiles still affected by water damage and mold after so many years. Given the profits he has likely made, it’s disappointing that he hasn't taken the initiative to maintain the restaurant. I can only imagine what the back of the restaurant, where food is prepared, looks like. It's sad to see that an establishment that has been around for 50 years has been so neglected.

I've been visiting Russo's since it was just a small sub shop on Dixie Hwy in West Palm Beach, Florida. Their food is consistently the best and always fresh. The tuna is fantastic as well; it was my mom's favorite! I highly recommend getting several sandwiches and taking them to the beach or on the boat. The bread is delicious and wonderfully soft and sweet. Enjoy!

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a little girl, and it holds a special place in my heart. Although I don’t visit frequently now that I’m older, every time I do, the food is always fantastic! However, I have noticed one thing that could use improvement: as a customer, it can be challenging to make a decision quickly. While the fast service is appreciated, the staff sometimes forget that it takes time to look at the menu. The cashiers often seem a bit uncomfortable if you aren’t ready to order as soon as you walk in. I think this might be because many long-time customers already know what they want, leading them to lose patience with newer guests or those who haven’t been there in a while. Aside from that, they are truly awesome!

I have loved Russo's since the late 70's. There is something extra special about these subs. Moved from West Palm Beach 15 yrs ago, but when back visiting friends, can't leave town without one. Never had a bad experience in any way, and I'm a bit fussy. Keep up the good work guys! I'll see you again soon
