Barbie's Place - Lake Park

I had lunch there today! I heard through the grapevine that the restaurant was sold and is closing down, and unfortunately, that's true. They are tearing down the building, so no one will be taking over the space. I had one of my favorite dishes, liver and onions, and it was as good as always. I really don’t know where I’ll go for lunch now; I’m definitely going to miss this place! I've been dining there since 1979.

I hope everyone is doing well and returns soon! I really miss seeing you all in the morning. I’m going to be craving those delicious biscuits and gravy! This place offers the best food, both in taste and price, in Lake Park and the surrounding areas. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re truly missing out on a real Southern kitchen experience. I had a wonderful meal! It took a little while to get accustomed to their brunch/lunch menu, but the service was quick, knowledgeable, and enjoyable. I have no complaints and plenty of delicious food memories!

For a greasey spoon diner Barbies Place is one of two in the area to go for breakfast. Good old fashioned home style cooking at at good old fashioned prices and large portions. It's been around forever and for good reason
